The reporting engine is then usually integrated into a separate application or printouts are generated via the Jasperreports server. More often than not, not all the information required in the report is available when the report is created; before a report can be sent to customers as a PDF, content must be customized or additional information added.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align);\">Then Word output is typically the format of choice. Unfortunately, it quickly becomes apparent that the Word export from Jasperreports has some shortcomings: The contents of the report are aligned in nested tables to ensure exact positioning. Headers and footers of the Jasper report are converted to simple table rows and page numbers are converted to static text.
